What is WPBL fantasy baseball?
Our Own Nine lets fans play fantasy baseball using players from the Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL). Instead of managing a traditional MLB player pool, you build a roster from the WPBL’s inaugural-season players and follow their real on-field production throughout the season.
The game is designed around the league’s compact player pool, so leagues use four or six fantasy managers. Every roster decision matters, and the smaller formats make it practical to follow the players and games closely.
How to play
Create an account, join or create a league, and draft your team from the available WPBL players. After the draft, set daily lineups before each player’s game locks, add or drop available players, make trades, and follow fantasy scoring as official game statistics are updated.
If you do not already have a group of friends ready to play, Join a Public League and Our Own Nine will match you automatically with other fantasy managers. If you already have a group, Create a Private League and invite your friends.
Classic 5×5 or Linear Points
Every league uses one of two standardized scoring formats. Classic 5×5 uses familiar rotisserie-style batting and pitching categories, while Linear Points turns player production into a season-long fantasy point total. Both formats are available in four-manager and six-manager leagues.
Practice with a WPBL mock draft
Want to see the player pool before joining a real league? Our Own Nine includes free WPBL mock drafts. Practice against other users when they are available or fill empty seats with auto-picking computer teams. Mock drafts are a quick way to learn the draft room, roster sizes, and player availability without affecting a real league.
Follow the season day by day
Fantasy play continues after draft day. Set date-specific daily lineups, monitor projected starters when they are confirmed, follow live and final scoring, make free-agent roster moves, and trade with other managers. Player totals, team results, and league standings stay together inside each league.
Free to play
Our Own Nine has no entry fees, subscriptions, paid features, or prizes. It is a fan-built fantasy experience for people who want another way to follow the WPBL season.
